Hey, I am reading your story and as an archaeologist I am afraid to tell you that your heroine has made a big mistake studying archaeology if she is interested in dinosaurs. Archaeologists are interested in human societies and won't be looking for dinosaurs. I know, it is a detail and easily fixed, but still...try to find the right study otherwise everyone who knows a little bit about archaeology will be annoyed by it. :)

hey just a heads up... archaeology is a sub field of anthropology which in its simplest form is the study of human beings. Archaeology is the study of artifacts that humans have left behind. We pretty much just study the trash thats been left in a way. Some archaeologist do focus on animal bones found at sites (however they relate it back to practices of bone tool manufactoring or different types of animals used as food etc.) and some even go as far as studying human remains but they are called osteoarchaeologists. Paleontologists study dinosaur bones. Archaeology and paleontolgy are two vastly different fields. If you character wants to study dinosaurs she would not be studying archaeology. However if she was interested in early human ancesters such as neanderthals that would be classified as physical or evolutionary anthropology.

I think I've read all the other Big Apple stories at completely different times and without knowing that they were related to each other, but getting vague little voices at the back of my head saying this sounds familiar. Well, anyway, this is the first one I'm reading that I understand the stories around it as well, and I think it's pretty cute so far. I like Fiona - watching her grow up (somewhat) through the other stories makes it easier to empathize with her as a character. Can't wait for the next few chapters!

Are you ever going to update this? I really want to read more =)

I really like your writing style. It's fun and engaging, and the characters jump from the page into your head. They're like my own little friends, and I can just imagine myself with them, and them hanging around here. They're /real/, and not a lot of authors are successful at that. So, thank you.

I LOVE your stories - I swear to god, I read four of them in one sitting (all the NY series), and it was an extremely welcome break from all the college work I'm trying to finish.
