AfterPartyFiasco 2008-05-13 . chapter 1It's such a simple story yet there were so much emotions, and that's why I like it. Another thing I have to applaud you for is how you were able to show much emotion through minimal dialogue. This is so hard to do, and of course, you have to choose your words carefully. :D Another thing I like is how you the readers are able to get inside the main character's head which is full of confusion and swirling emotions I must day. ;p All in all, I like this work of yours because of its simplicity, and I admit, I rarely read stories of this kind. Hehe. I fope this help and the best of luck to you! :p

The Ferrett 2008-05-08 . chapter 1A what if... nice... It would be more beneficial though if one of the yous wasn't so knowledgeable. They know exactly what the other one means, even when they have different experiences, different histories - different jargon. The other thing that is out of the ordinary is the name Liz. Occurs once, from the mouth of the one who shouldn't know. Anyways. Loved it, am curious to see what happens next, although that isn't the point of this piece, and good luck. |
Mosaic Stains 2008-04-29 . chapter 1Well, I wanted to review you at least once before I head on to work, so here I am.
The short itself is nice, but the undertone of emotion and insinuated story beneath everything is even nicer.
The 'what if' of the story is well understood, yet is a bit adrift by the whats going on. For those who... how do I put this nicely about certain people... don't seem to catch on to the hints or want to read into the story to figure out what the hints are telling would be really confused.
Thank goodness I'm not like that and happen to love mystifying stories, or confusing novels, or even stories where you need to read into the story in order figure out what is really going on.
In saying that, I think you would be a nice writer for stories that are... like the movie 'The Fountain' or ' Across The Universe'. A bit odd in there own way, but detailing, interesting, emotional, and overall captivating...
Well, all in all, nice short.
Until Later!

Mr Ragna Badguy 2008-04-17 . chapter 1Heya there! It's me! :) Anyway, thanks very much for your review for Bloodfire. To be honest though, I'm not too sure on where this story's gonna go. Anyway, good piece of work here. It really reflects the emotions of the character. I was actually thinking that this is also some supernatural fic untill I saw the ending parts. Well, for CCs, one thing I can suggest here is that maybe you can explained more about the character's past. Although it's already well done, but I still think it could be improved in terms of details. My default favorite way to portray a character's past is through flashback and I believe you can try to do the same as well. Flashbacks can have a positive impact on the reader where the character's past is concerned depending on how you go around doing it. Anyway, I think the works you did are one-shot after browsing through your works. I really hope to see you do a fantasy story in a continuous way. Meaning it having multiple chapters and not just one-shot. I think this can be a challenge to you, but I'm really interested to see what you can do for it. ;)
P.S: Thanks very much for your review on Bloodfire again. But I really hope you can start reviewing Circles of Arven, The Elven Chronicles and Wolfblood since they're on the higher priority in updating. Actually, I hope you can review The Elven Chronicles first since I've got this urge to see more recent reviews for it due it being updated just last night... :) |
MajesticWriter 2008-04-11 . chapter 1Wow, can you believe that I actually cried reading that oh my God? I didn’t really get this sad story till you got to the high school reading and writing part of the story. Unfortunately I had to read it two times to understand it but that is just me. I know you know more about writing then I do so I’m not going to bicker with you on stuff like I some times do it other's reviews. I feel a tear in my eye. Wow that is emotional, great job.
