Separation, whether by time, space, or death does have a way of affecting our memories. I think you portrayed this beautifully in this poem. I particularly liked the difference between the being both cleansing but also sorrow. The fourth stanza was the most striking to me: "You are my sorrow/my sorrow/my sorrow;/my love and aching loss, lodged so firmly/within my chest." I belive I'm going through something quite different now than you were as you wrote this poem, but that makes it even better that it can cross dimensions.
Beautiful and prolific as always.

Excellent poem! I'm usually one for the rhyme scheme but this was very well-written piece. I can understand fully how love is immortal. Love will always be lodged within our minds as we look past the faults in the ones we love and only care about the our love for their being. Not to mention, it seems as though you describe love as a double-edged sword: bringing joy as well as pain. I must say, keep it up, Luma, keep it up.
