This is pretty dark, but I think I love it. Poor Candace. Nothing too critique, all was great.

I have to say, it was the simplistic summary that caught my eye, and I'm certainly glad that it did.

First of all, your grammar and rhetoric are flawless. Very well-structured sentences coupled with a great vocabulary make this an excellent read. And lest I forget, the story had a great pace to it, even for a oneshot. I especially liked that you withheld unnecessary personal details about the characters that some authors would include. Thereby, you avoided muddying the text.

Great work - gripping, chilling, and very well-written.
