Hm...an interesting, philosophical approach to the concept of time. I would certainly agree that our measurement and naming of time is arbitrary, but I also believe a case can be made for time as a fourth dimension that we have absolutely no control over. You might look into McTaggart's works on time - they echo your poem's view fittingly. Oh, and nice job as well. :)
