burning in effigy 2008-04-13 ch 1,	abuseomg. absolutely love this. the imagery is fantastic. love the use of color and just your diction in general "bits and pieces of a/butterscotch soul," the first two lines completely drew me in and i had to keep reading (i'm glad i did) "you can trust/the cream and sugar of/this island free of fear."- just really like the way you state this last stanza is by far my favorite with the line(s) of "my color coordinated/practical boy"- you have me gushing over this like a five year old gushing over her new barbie doll only thing that's kind of off to me is the last line; i think there should be a "to" before "touch" for parallel structure or something. but overall, wonderful job
