jessa-beth 5/11/08 . chapter 1You write so skillfully, it just reads so naturally, and the way you use your words is just so hauntingly beautiful. I absolutely LOVE your work. This just totally floored me. My goodness. I think it's the images you induce with your words. I love "still pulling dandelions from my teeth/ when I wake, buried in the cloying scent of your aftershave." And the next line, as well, "memory unravels, stitch by stitch, in this sweater of a life I'm smothered in..." Makes me think of lashing out at a knitted sweater in progress, and suddenly tearing it all apart. Y'know what? I think I'm adding you to my favorite authors. |
a silenced revolution 4/26/08 . chapter 1'in this sweater of a life I’m smothered in' -all of this poem is wonderful and lovely-tragic. but that line for some reason really struck me. it is such a completely perfect description, wow. -adrian |
