oh, this is really pretty. I love the idea behind it, of two people walking alone together, at both an end and a beginning. Actually, my favorite part of this whole thing is the last sentence "If this is an ending,/this is a beginning/and/we are still breathing." There's just so much hope in that, saying that every ending starts something new and we can keep going. I love it.

Great job! This has a sort of T.S. Eliot "Burnt Norten" feel, especially in the lines, "If this is the end of the past/and the beginning of a future," and "If this is an ending, this is a beginning." I love your diction and the questions that you raise. Keep writing, k.
