The baava Project 2008-04-21 . chapter 1I'm a little disappointed that this is complete. ^_^ But I just love to read, so maybe that's why.
This is a very well-done piece, with some tidbits of childhood that were forgotten by me, and that made me laugh with remembering. I think my favorite observation of this sort is:
[I found myself trotting quickly toward the kitchen door, nervously wiping my hands on my shorts as if the grass stains would look better there.]
There are a lot of details - both emotional and physical - that add real depth to the story. I got drawn in and I can't think of the part where I forgot I was reading and started experiencing with Ashley. It's so well done. I loved it.
The advancement of the action, too, is well-paced.
But here's where I get greedy: I would dearly love to see Vivian freed. I got so into Ashley and her family that it would be a great deal of fun to see this continued, and see what Ashley does and what else she could uncover, and perhaps do to save her great-aunt. But, yeah, that's just me having found a good thing and wanting it not to be over! ^_~
Again, nicely done piece.
