This is a wonderful poem. This sounds sort of like a self-reassuring deal, like the narrator (you?) is trying to feel better. The end seems sort of like you (or the narrator) just aren't feeling that it really will get better, but the best you can do right now is pretend and hope that it will. Very good at expressing emotions without being completely hopeless and whiny. Very bittersweet.
