| Solemn Coyote 2008-04-28 ch 4,  | abuseThis is actually a little bit frustrating to read. Not because it's bad. The writing is solid. But it feels very incomplete. There are giant chunks of absent plot between each update. Characters and events who're mentioned briefly once, and then never properly explained. And overall, there's a feeling of very important things happening. Things which are both cool and scary. Things which the reader is never presented with. That's where the frustration comes in. Essentially, this twenty five percent a good story. The other seventy five percent is contained in the RPs that take place between each chapter. It moves a lot faster than "Sean's Ghosts", but as far as I can tell, it keeps pretty good character development. A more complete version of this would probably make for an excellent read, but it'd also mean having to go back and record things that happened earlier in the RP. And that could be pretty boring to do. -SC |
