Hi Tim! I get to be first reviewer! Here goes: An intreguing start, I like the moral/social questions this story is raising. The world you have constructed has a strong sense of realism to it. There perhaps could be a bit more explanation as to who Lyall and Darach are in relation to the Union, and why they have been given this particular mission, but am looking forward to chapter 2!
