Sad. But I'm smiling - perhaps this little piece spoke to something in me . . . something from a long time ago.

It's well-written, concise and clear. It's full of emotion, too, which is great (being moved emotionally is one of the reasons I like to read).

Is this a one-shot, or will it continue? I feel like it could go either way, but if it does roll into a longer piece I'd enjoy checking it out.
