Great piece. Reminds me of a letter I wrote in high school. I wrote a poem about it when she turned me down, it was called on the longest day of my life.

I liked the description you put in here that just all reflect that sense of anxiety and nervousness. The line 'my feet made my body walk away' has to be my favourite as it just captured that entire sense of uncertainty/unwillingness/nervousness and more. The shift into warmth and sweetness conveyed mostly in the last verse was also nicely done. I think the only 'critique' I could give was changing the & to an actual 'and' because that was kind of distracting.
