Most of the time when I read stories such as this, I don't buy into it or its too overdone or something is just not right with it that ruins the entire effect, but I must say you've accomplished not doing that. A pleasant surprise. I'm actually not sure what exactly about it that makes me, as a reader, buy into the story considering how short it is yet how effective. Maybe its the bluntness of the lines, or...I really don't know. Good job. |
