| Beth 2008-06-08 ch 1, anon. | abuseWell, we got our new Prime Minister almost a year ago now and we didn't vote for him, but I liked the poem! We're all waiting for the next general election here and it seems like everyone is promising the same kind of things, just like always, and they never end up doing what they say they will. It seems like politicians are just paying pure lip service to the people, all mouth and no trousers. "(He’d run for Pres if he could; but he wasn’t born here)" This bit flows a bit weirdly for me, I'm not sure what it is about it. It seems sort of more...blunt than the rest, if that makes sense. As though it doesn't really fit with the tone of the poem. |

I also like the Arnold reference because it was funny. The dance and shuffleboard thing were also kinda funny, but so true. | Undrahas 2008-05-13 ch 1, | abuseVery true. It doesn't matter if they become president or not becuase they break their promises once they become president. |
