A beautiful overall image. My best friend moved to California a few months ago, and I hope she has morning-afternoons like this. I liked the "wholly chlorine water"--a play on "holy"? & the lines between the parentheses, which are just so clearly written.

Um, yay! Hey, how hot is it there? It's so hot here, like, over 100 every day. And we didn't have air conditioning at the start of the week, 'cause it was broken.

But yeah.
