Lime-sama 2009-04-02 . chapter 6I think Ai is really interesting and I'd definitely like to know more abou her! Keep on writing! |
Lime-sama 2009-04-02 . chapter 5I like how the shaman thing ended, with her warning towards Yohru and Alice's relationship. Gotta love killer talking fish! |
Lime-sama 2009-04-02 . chapter 4I like the ordeal with the shaman. It was very vivid and surreal. So dream-like and everything. I really enjoy this story and I do hope that you'll start updating again! |
Lime-sama 2009-04-02 . chapter 3Yohru isn't too bright is she? she's so trusting of Alice, then again, she seems like one of those 'nice girl' types. I really love how this is turning out though. I like dark stories most of the time. |
Lime-sama 2009-04-02 . chapter 2I like the start of this. It flows smoothly and it all makes a lot of sense! I absolutely love it! |
Lime-sama 2009-04-02 . chapter 1That's interesting and so very dark. I really like the inside feelings of the character. She sounds so creepy. I know I'll enjoy this story! |
In Midnight Blue 2009-02-05 . chapter 1Hi, it's Ethuil'Waew...changed my penname. Well this is yet another fantastic story...that shares a name with one of my favorite bands!:0 |
Tomoyuki Tanaka 2009-02-04 . chapter 6A couple of things.
First: Ai has been working there for two years, so it's impossible for her to pass off so many incidents as coincidence. Plus the cryptic comment at the end, is she more than she seems? An accomplice of Alice, maybe? I'm just guessing, and this isn't criticism, it's just a point to ponder in case you didn't intend for her to be an accomplice, in which she has to be really, really weird to pass them off as coincidences.
Second: I'm surprised that Yohru's constant and daily working hours haven't taken a toll on Yohru's and Haji's relationship. Yes, he might be understanding, but the time they spend together is far too short (only sundays), and usually that's not healthy for dating couples. Also, I'm surprised that there isn't a strain on Yohru's friendship...I'll email you because my review is too long. Ack. |
Tomoyuki Tanaka 2009-02-04 . chapter 5Ok...uh...if you want to write about dreams, you might want to read Dream-Hunter and other books of the Dream-Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. You might get some inspiration there, as well as get a better idea of how dreams work and their biomechanics. That said, you did a pretty good job here in manipulating dreams and everything, though the last part was a little cliche. As usual, only the main character doesn't understand that the Shaman was warning her of Alice and that Alice is wicked. And I'm guessing Alice saved her to manipulate her or something, or at least because of an ulterior motive rather than compassion, and Yohru blindly fell into her trap. But like I said, there are all guesses. I might be wrong, so go ahead and surprise me. It's better that way.
I'm looking forward to future chapters! |
Tomoyuki Tanaka 2009-02-04 . chapter 4There are a few things I'm confused about in this chapter.
One: Didn't Yohru get an offday on sundays? Even Alice admitted tbat she couldn't slave her everyday. How come it suddenly changed to "I'll see you at work tomorrow" and she really turned up for work the next day. Wasn't it a sunday?
Two: If the old woman was worried about Yohru keeping the haunted box, why did she give it to the shop in the first place? Does she not care that the shop owner gets haunted by ghosts but she's concerned about the young girl? Or probably she knows that the shop can do something about it? But from her dialogue (please just take it) it seems that she's just desperate to get rid of it without caring about what happens to the shop owner. Why then, would she care if Yohru's the one who takes it? She got some grudge against Alice?
And sorry, I spelled Haji's name wrongly in the last review. Ack...my memory's getting bad. And I like the dream sequence as well as Alice's speech on consequences and actions. That's really deep. Nobody considers this anymore and I'm glad you brought it up. |
Tomoyuki Tanaka 2009-02-04 . chapter 3This kinds of remind me of XHolic by Clamp (the creators of Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles and Cardcaptor Sakura). All actions have consequences (especially tragic ones). And how is Yohru's constant working going to affect her relationship with Hachi? Has she considered that? I mean, coming here everyday after school and 10 on Saturday, wouldn't that mean no time for Hachi? |
Tomoyuki Tanaka 2009-02-04 . chapter 2No, it's fine. Since you're beta reading, I'll leave it to you to correct your own mistakes. Anyway, Alice isn't just an American name, it's also commonly used in Britain, thought I should let you know. Just found Yohru's conclusion weird. |
 Zekra 2009-01-18 . chapter 1I find this interesting. |
Black Bride Anna 2009-01-07 . chapter 6Great job on this chapter. It was full of action and deep messages. I really enjoyed it as I did Ai's character. I think I'm really going to like her, especially her insight. She seems as if she's been around the shop long enough to teach Yohru a few things. |
Tragedy of Light and Dark 2009-01-07 . chapter 6Good chapter, I'm really interested in those charms. I wonder if Yohru will ever figure them out. |
