Jealousy aside: I liked this piece. Emotionally true, even though I think the narrator changes her position in the second-to-last stanza: "I'm believing your deceit... I'll yield to this defeat" - before I would've assumed she would have counted believing the lie a victory. Or maybe she just got wiser? I'm, not sure. My only other criticism is this piece could use some periods. =P Otherwise, I like the piece for both the emotional openness and the narrator's humanity - wanting to feel loved more than she wants to BE loved. (Or even give love, I might wonder...) ;) Maybe that wasn't your point, but that's what I got. Good stuff! |

My parents hate that I post on this "little kids site" but God I swear I love this site. It just lets you work it out. If I had a guitar I could work it out too but that would require a guitar and lessons. I think this is cheaper. :) Write as much as you please and I'll read! |
