I like the mixture of intensity, and innocence that this conveys. The entire work is visable, due to the specific description, but the most relatable part for the reader is most definately the voice. There is a tone in this that the reader can connect to, kind of a desperate vulnerability combined with youth infused optimism. That is what truly enhances everything. The consistency of voice, and how it sways around the sound so easily, and yet the reader can tell that parts of this are hard for the speaker to catch up to with the rapidness of the pace. The specific descriptions, like, "beloved boots", "cycling thighs", and "The kind of rain that drips off the visor", really centralize everything for the reader by keeping them informed as the secne and situation unfold. The ending was marvelous, as it exemplified the emotion of the work well. Excellent write. MD:77.
