Tytherpol 5/18/08 . chapter 1on my language exam i took last week, there was this one question that i just couldn't figure out, and it asked about self-awareness. it was like: what word best describes what self-awareness means in line 56 (or w/e)? and the two choices that i just couldn't decide between were introversion and shame. because usually introversion is a go-for, but shame really was the result and almost type of this introversion. so i chose introversion, and i'm still not sure if it's right. your fish gave my mind faulkner undertones for the entire piece. :p which is funny because i always associate him with sawdust too. and your next lines were about timber. :) and which was also funny when you started beoing a woman. haha i have too much fun reading cryptic poetry :( the symbolism in your second "i am" is really weird. like in a good way, of course, but still very odd. i was about to say i'm not sure if i understand 'pins' with the breath. but then i realized breath fell under a new "i am" and now i love it so scratch that this is a really tricky poem. clever too. but really tricky. great job. beautiful piece, i think. ty. |
