Umm... question. When Lieutenant Way "amputated" his gun, wouldn't a better word be "disected" instead of "amputate"? Cuz amputating means to cut off a limb, while disecting means to take apart.

That's a very interesting concept for a story. Why exactly did they need to sleep for 290 years?

A BODY slumped through the door? Not a skeleton? Hmm...interesting...I like your pacing, I like the idea of seeing how people interact to survive...it's just real easy to blow that kind of a plot, make it cheesy or whatever, but if you succeed...yay!!
