Another great poem. I especially like the second stanza -

together the wind will crush their dreams -

I really like that line. Nice work with this. Though a somewhat sad story appears to be behind this, I enjoyed reading. Nice work.

I sort of got the sense that you were likening this to a romance novel, with the mentions of a "hero" and "heroine." Whether you intended this or not, I liked it. Nicely done )

Heroes die like anyone else - I like that this poem establishes that.

It's a little melancholy and lacks hope, but I like the mood all the same. It seems quiet and almost resigned.

Also, as I read this, I was reminded a little of the movie Gladiator. P

I like the metaphors in this 'cause it brings a nice imagery to the poem, even if it's not a very happy ending. feels really magic.

This is maybe the first free verse poem I've read and actually liked! I would give you criticism back but can't seem to think of anything... whether it be my lack of experience or the flawlessness of you poem... who knows... but great poem!
