Aw. I like it. It's simple, really, almost like an entry from a diary. But coffee shop scenes are sorta appealing to me. Was this based on a real experience?

Maybe you could've described the man more, so that you could let the reader feel what made the man catch the attention of the writer. A picture formed in my head, but it wasn't right.
