A promising start. I love the summary, it had me in stitches for whatever reason, I dunno... I guess I'm just easily amused. I don't think I've ever said anything about male cheerleaders before either so you get a tick in the originality box. And I love the thought of gay Texans too, just because.

A criticism would be the characters seem a little...what's the word... robotic at the moment. Maybe not so much Darren, but they all seem to have the same basic personality with no traits or quirks to set them apart from each other. Particularly Elsie and Es, they could be the same person as far as interaction goes.

But I'll bear in mind you're only one chapter in so I'm not overly concerned about it just yet.

And the author quoted in Donnie Darko is J.R.R.Tolkien. That little part in the movie really had me laughing...

Omg, I'm in love with this story already. I love Darren; he's so adorable. And Elsie, and Esmeralda, and Renee, and and--yeah. so I'm going to marry your story, no matter how creepy that sounds. ;D (Texan boys. -heart- XD)

But I love this (This is the hundreth time i've said this...), and I hope the next chappie comes out soon. And this only has six reviews! That's terrible for such a good story. D; I'll have to flood you with reviews.

"Cellar Door" came from some author... I can't remember who. But it was discussed in Donnie Darko that he said that "cellar door" was the most beautiful phrase in the english language.
