The Black Rider 2008-12-21 . chapter 1
Hello, I don't know if you remember me but I've come back to FictionPress. Anyway, I quite like the first half of this poem: The concise lines hit the points squarely on the head, and I like the severe, angry tone of the piece. However, I do feel it is too long and drawn-out and more or less turns into a harangue by the end. Still better than a lot of what I've been reading on this site of late. As always, your voice is strong and structure and images are effective.

"I wear their scarlet letter
Like a badge of honor
Between my thighs"

*laughs*
*gets teary* . . . Gosh, I'm so damn proud of you. Beautiful, just beautiful. Not you, this piece. Not that I'm saying you're not beautiful; but I only know you through your works, so please take it as a compliment. Anyhoo, I wish you'd write more. If not for you, at least for me. Yeah, I'm still the selfish Godly skank I've always been. Heh. Whores unite!

Great to see you posting again!

I think fp screwed up and repeating you first word twice.
I love the line "I am **" instead of I am a **... really awesome.
I also love the message behind this about the double standard because it's so true.
The thing with ** and God confused me a bit. If it was Goddess I'd kinda get it, but God just seemed odd because it seemed you implied God creates his own realities and I dunno if that makes sense.
I also think this is definitely not appropriate for 9 yrs old and should be rated T.
I liked the piece a lot... it was really different and unique. Great job.

I am so glad someone wrote this. I'm sick and tired of the double-standards. Bravo. Do not feel shame and keep your head held high.

awesome!
fly free, siSTAR!

*looks up "**" in my dictioinary:
derivation .. see -ka
first, ka is a part of our SOUL according to Egypt (along with the Ba) = "The Ka was the Egyptian concept of life force, that which distinguishes the difference between a living and a dead person, death occurring when the ka left the body."

-ka means to like, desire, also Latin Carus, dear: CARESS, CHARITY, CHERISH, suffixed from ka-mo in Sanskrit kama = love, desire
KAMASUTRA
... so, what's so wrong with that?
