Dante S. Acrutio 2008-06-01 . chapter 1
"REAL horror"? Its creepy, yes, but real terror does not come from fear of death. It is not uncommon for man to fear death, it is because we do not know what truly happens afterward. Christians believe that we are judged and sent to heaven or hell, while other highly doubt this. Yes, heaven is supposed to be a place with no suffering, pain, or agony of any kind; however 9/10 if you ask a Christian if someone was in their house with a knife (blood on the walls, yadda yadda generic horror stuff) if they would be afraid of dying they would say "yes." After death (supposedly) you no longer live on tis plane of existence, and all that you know now comes to an end. Endings, or changes, is another thing that humans fear. They want to control what goes on around them, and when life slips out of their reach, they panic. Yes, yes. Now, "REAL horror" as you put it does not lie in these smallest of fears. The element of true fear, at least in my opinion, is one losing their mind, and to continue living in this hell without help. Imagine, seeing what isn't there, feeling what's not real, living lies, and you do it alone. No one can help you combat your insanity. No, they can help, I take that back, tell you "It's all going to be ok" and blah blah blah. But what do they know, they have no idea what you're going through. It's hard to describe, this true fear, but death is not something that we should fear. By the way it seems to be going though, you can still go for it, though. I'm not telling you, just saying that if that is what you're going for, you can still defiantly pull it off. The story was beautifully written, and I wish you luck on the upcoming chapters. Oh! Do not let anyone's point of view persuade your own. Ever good story says something, and you shouldn't change it just become some lughead doesn't see eye-to-eye with you. Looking forward to this "REAL horror" you speak of! Keep writing!
