I'm thinking I'm voting on this most for Mechanics, not just because I've already seen the superhero genre (which is good, don't get me wrong) but because it flowed together so effortlessly from beginning to end, bringing it to a satisfying conclusion. Some parts explained outside of the character, but I liked it better when they were grafted in.
Example: Instead of "He saw her green eyes," put "Her green eyes turned to Len."
I know that wasn't a part of your story, but just to give you a little idea. I noticed the explaining more towards the end, when Paul was being held hostage. Other than that, I'd say you've done excellently.

It's really interesting how the two perspectives interact.

Ariadne is really entertaining. And I love that the Sun has a female priest in this world. *has been talking to Myri too much and is becoming too aware of gender roles again*
