Reading this, I was very much reminded of a fanfic I read lately, where a girl was beaten by her fiancée. I think, this poem captures so much of what was also displayed in the story.

You capture beauty, paranoia and decadence beautifully.

You SHOULD become an author.

This is beautiful and so sad. I love the lines:

'did your body shake in his embrace

did he leave that bruise that's on your face

did you know you'd have to lie when you came home'

A really powerful poem, well done.

Oh, that had a slightly sad tone to it, but there is also hope. I could definitely relate to some parts of this poem. I liked it a lot. Good job.
