It's simple but that's the way I like it. Not needing to use many words to write a good story is something I would welcome more on fictionpress.

Ah, I like this story so much! It flows well, and the narrator keeps me interested--I just glanced over the first couple of lines, and then I had to keep reading until the end. I like seeing the inside of her head.

The present tense makes me feel like I'm there inside her head, while the past makes me feel like it happened a long time ago, and therefore I should disconnect myself from it. Keep working in present tense is my suggestion..

Aww.. to cute. But sometimes you need to watch out for words that accidentally slip in unannounced...

i.e. "He told me his it's true" unless that's how you meant it to be, and then it would just be a little weird, but okay

ever heard of ellen hopkins? she's a good author in this style too, that coincidentally i also discovered her in my english class..

Honestly, i do like this, for a free verse poem it does tell a good story and it gets you thinking.
