This is a type of writing that I truly admire - a brief look into a life, as though through a window - you can see every detail, and then the shutters close.

I like this. It's eerie and seems quiet... Like it's meant to be read in a whisper. I like the feeling that it conveys, especially in the second half. Some parts are a bit unclear though, like what "earlier circumstance" are you talking about? And I think you may have missed a word or a punctuation mark in the 2nd sentence, as it doesn't make a whole lot of grammatical sense.
