It's a very pretty poem, it seems light and fluffy on the surface. But using my poetry disection tools, I believe that the Little Black Roses are the big ocean waves cresting against the ship... and someone's falling into it?

No! No italics! It makes it too hard to read! I hate to be a whinger, but I just cannot STAND them when I'm trying to read a poem. Also, the line breaks shouldn't be like that - they make the poem harder to read. If you don't know how to stick sentences together, on document editor you do 'shift+enter' on the line you want to break. It works a treat.

... Rereading what I wrote, the sounds really harsh. I'm sorry. It's just, this poem had true merit, but I couldn't read it as easily as I thought I could, which frustrated me. Sorry!
