I love the brutal contrast of the last two lines of the first stanza. Shocking but well balanced and no melodrama present made it just edgy enough.

I'm not sure about the shift in tone that the second stanza brings. It seems to go from a confident and in control voice to one of passivity and I'd almost prefer this if it were just the first stanza and the rest were in another poem somewhere.

Just a thought I guess.
