Nice work! "bleached skies light up the moon" - what an interesting thought.

Love it! I like the idea of 'the sun is drowning the skyline'. It feels to me like the sun is almost predatory, evoking images of it eating the horizon...dangerous, even though it is moving so slowly. The description is good, how it can create such powerful images. In the last lines I felt a strange mix of things being perfectly at peace with a sense of foreboding and danger.
