and i'm not positive, but you add in music references(?) like death cab and "there she goes..." which makes the poem even more creative

The feelings of yearning and dependency in this are well-conveyed... I think that's what you were aiming for. The feelings all recur throughout which makes the poem fit together nicely too. Overall a good write.
