Wow, this poem holds a lot of meaning to me, and it seems it does for you as well. At first I thought it was about a friendship or relationship lost and that's where my mind went to my own painful memories. But when death came into the stanzas...it reminded me of something far more painful. I think I needed that reminder. Thank you.

I haven't much of a person for poetry since my muse deserted me, but I really liked yours. The emotion in the poem that felt distant, yet sincerely close was awesome. And the words were great. The fact that they didn't rhyme made it even better.
