Very emotional and heartfelt. I really enjoyed reading it. I'm no good with goodbyes either... I really like how the poem flows along and what it goes over. Some favourite lines:

"the space between us on that air mattress / felt more like miles than a few / centimeters earlier"
"when did my family start this / no eye contact business?"

I can relate to that second one somewhat. Bravo, well done!
