Littletealjar. 2009-11-23 . chapter 21
Omfg, I had no idea u wrote so many stories that I love! Weird. Anyway, post the sequel son please, and I will be forever grateful! Also, I saw ur poll and I would love it if cavan got pregnant with gair's baby!! That would be just so awesome and cute and adorable, and then there would be so many possibilities for fluff! Cavan and Gair as daddies :)

Oh, and more sex in the sequal, yes? YES!! and closure with tullio. I'm jealous for Gair's sake.
Littletealjar. 2009-11-23 . chapter 19
My favorite character was definitely Gair. I want closure about tullio, because I worry about who cavan loves more, and I want him to choose. that was the really big problem for me with this story, but I love the rest! :D

I look forward to the sequel. It sounds like your work hours are brutal, so I'll try and be patient. Great job!

Is the pronunciation of avalet and valett the way they are spelled? I've been pronouncing avalet as a french word: "ah-vul-ay". Is that wrong?
Emerald Dragon77 2009-11-11 . chapter 5
I'm going to continue reading, but in response to your question, I did suspect that Cavan and Gair would end up together. My first clue was the fact that it was written from both of their points of view, although that by no means is a given that they would end up together. With all of that 'heir' business, I can't say that I was surprised, but I can say that I'm looking forward to the rest of the story. Your writing is good and I enjoyed your story 'White Stag.'
Romulan Empress 2009-10-24 . chapter 19
1) Favorite Character: I rather liked Jindakinika. She was a strong character with a distinct personality and ambitions of her own. I would like to see more of her in the sequel, especially since the magic system is what drew me into this universe in the first place.

2) Favorite Quote or Scene: I enjoyed the marriage ceremony and the descriptions of the Cheil capital. Contrasts of culture are always interesting.

3) Least Favorite Bit/Largest Plot-hole: I felt the scope of this story was too narrow (see 6 for details). I would have liked to see other peoples' attitudes toward the story events and the 'Velds' reactions to their new overlords.

4) If Gair or Cavan were straight/otherwise available to you, which would you like to marry?: I would probably prefer Gair. Cavan has too much baggage, and seems too clingy. Also, Gair is more organized.

5) Possibilities for Improvements: You have a few sentence fragments sprinkled throughout the story, but that was the only grammatical error I noticed.

6) Anything Else I Need to Know: I read this story because I loved White Stag. Upon reading the summary, I hoped it would deal with the fall of the Cheil Empire and the splitting of magic into the Colours. It was a good story, but the scope was more narrow than I had hoped. This is more an observation than a critique though (a critique of the summary, perhaps?), and maybe a suggestion for the sequel or another story. As a romance, however, it was enjoyable.

txilar 2009-09-14 . chapter 21
A lovely finish to this story. The fake chapter terrified me, so I'm busy trying to forget it, though I admit, once again your worldbuilding and brief history of the fey made it technically enjoyable! ^_^
txilar 2009-09-14 . chapter 19
1) Favorite Character: Jinda

2) Favorite Quote or Scene: The scenes in the empire where they fought. The dialogue and fighting were well done.

3) Least Favorite Bit/Largest Plot-hole: ... n/a ^_^

4) If Gair or Cavan were available to you, which would you like to marry?: They seem rather well matched.

5) Possibilities for Improvements: I would have liked to see more progression to their relationship. They seemed to have quite a casual acceptance of each other and, while physically compatible (I don't mean just sexually, but their comfort and eash in touching each other) I don't see much in the way of their, well, feelings, for lack of a better word. Why was Cavan so reminded of Tulio--looks, actions? Was Gair just physically attracted at first? The relationship was well done it just seemed far more startling to the Emperor than anyone else (save Gair's father perhaps, but turns out he knew more than Gair knew!). In other words, they seem to accept each other only because they are thrown together, but it's more than that, right? I'd like to see some of the 'more'.

6) Anything Else I Need to Know: I can't wait for the sequel. I'm diving headfirst into your works in the meantime. Your writing is immensely enjoyable and the worldbuilding extremely satisfying. I look forward to reading the rest of your works. Thank you for sharing.
Sunny Side Down 2009-06-18 . chapter 19
1) Gair, because his past is so simple.
2) The scene where they are first told that they(Gair and Cavan) are going to be married.
3) The heir(But seriously, I'm awaiting that sequel)
4) Neither, I cannpt see them with anyone else but each other.
5) A longer story?
6) Otherwise PERFECT!

Blue Papillon 2009-06-15 . chapter 21
Heh, I like Telmin. Perhaps he will get his own story someday?
Blue Papillon 2009-06-15 . chapter 19
Wow. I must say that this story was very enjoyable. I read it all in one go b/c I had to know what happened next! Thanks for keeping me up so late...

Loved the characters. They were well fleshed out (although I feel that Cavan was more fleshed out than Gair).

I guess I am left wondering what will happen w/ the Velds. None of the real plot (what's going on in the world) was really resolved. What of Cavan's father? What of the issue of no heir? Will the Velds ever get even with Cheil? What about the poor Norvelds? Are they going to be left the ones being punished the harshest even though they are the peacemakers? What about that evil emperor?! Will they ever be able to be open with their relationship? Meet another male/male couple? This world that you created is pretty intricate and interesting, now we have to find out what will happen to it. Can't wait for the sequel (although you don't seem to be working on it anytime soon...)

The sex scene was very well done. Now I want to see Cavan as the dominant!! Lol, you teased at it, but it was never shown. That would just be an added bonus.

Anywho, loved this story. I am off to read more of your works.
Allanasha Ke Kiri 2009-05-26 . chapter 21
Okay, seriously, you're quickly becoming a favorite author of mine ^_^.

Loved it, it was simply wonderful.

Let's see:

1) I have to say that I really liked the aunt, the one that only showed up in this chapter. She was fun. lol

2) "You and only you" I just loved it all. But that's what sticks in my mind.

3) Least Favorite bit ... um ... ... ... ... ... I can't really think of anything I didn't like ...

4) I like Gair. If they were otherwise available (which would be sad because the two are so perfect for each other) I'd like Gair.

Can't think of anything for the other two, but there ya go lol.

loved the story

frogs of war 2009-05-08 . chapter 19
Very nice.

Some of the sentences (at least one in every chapter) were split into two paragraphs.

The characters were whole and seemed real. I felt sorry for Eleanor.

Gair's nightmares appear after we learn about Cavan's, but are never explained. War memories?

Somehow, your begging for reviews doesn't annoy me, and I really like the questions at the end.
