My boyfriend is Japanese and apparently yaoi isn't a word. It was around the first time we met. He was asking me what my favorite anime was and I had Gravitation in mind. He acted like he wanted to see it so I had to tell him it was yaoi. But when I did he just nodded his head. O.O Ha ha, of course he was grossed out when I explained it to him later on. : D But I guess what I'm getting at is yes, yaoi fan girls can have normal relationships while giving away to our passions. Ha ha he always asks me if I want to see him and his best friend together. ^.^ And yes, he knows I have the ** too. Doujins, gotta love 'em.

Wow it is really fun :) I myself graduated from Draco/Harry fangirl ( I still remember how at the tender age of 13 I was reading this fic and came across some boyxboy action ... imagine my surprise... It was rather vaguely written and took me a few days to realize how they actually did the sticky sticky .. Silly me was so proud of my own deductive skill ... :) ) to yaoi fan.

I totally agree with you! Why would we girls always have to be the underdog when it comes to sex? in society, it's totally appreciated (well, mostly) if two girls make out, but when two guys do, it's like "ew!". I can't stand that!
