I'd just say to tweak how you phrase some of the more depressing moments. They're good, just a few catch kind of funny.

Don't worry too much about reviews. You keep writing and it will happen. There are a lot of stories out there on fiction press. The search option isn't always working. And it's just plain difficult to find all the good stories out there.

Writing reviews is intimidating for those of us that are just readers. I would know as I'm a nonwriter. If you end up with a few bad reviews, don't take them personally. It takes guts just putting something up for everyone to read. You should feel good about having gone that far.

I like this story and would like to see you continue it. I feel like you've just gotten to the beginning. Sometimes writers have trouble with the middle sagging or once they get past that, finishing the story. I think the best bet is to keep doing it over and over till you get through it.

All of this is my humble opinion, so take with a grain of salt if it suits you. :)

I like where this story is going. I like the bit of mystery thrown into the mix. And I like how sweet Wes is. It's heartening to have a character that isn't so angsty.
