Very nice. I've always adored your short stories and this one doesn't fail to deliver :) Throughout the story, I felt subtle undertones of a "goodbye" and that's a tough thing to convey as a writer. Ahh, if Colin were real, eh? :)

I really liked this story, probably because it's easy to relate to. It makes me think of all the times I had to say bye to friends and the bittersweet feeling you get from that. Where you're both happy for the person but you're sad to part. I mean, even with email, IM, facebook etc. it's just never going to be the same again.

Anyway, great job with the story. Keep up the good work.
