I was a bit confused during the paragraph starting with "then my heart, my hands, my head". It seems like you're missing a word or something, but other than that I fould it quite...well..wonderful but disturbing...

This is well written. I agree it would be hard to write a 500 word story. Luckily, i have never had to try.
