Reviews For: The Easy Way Out
Lady DreamWriter 2008-07-25 . chapter 1
This is a heartbreakingly realistic piece. It’s gritty and doesn’t sugarcoat the truth of what is really going on, even to the point of throwing up in the toilet after a gorge fest (from Anorexia to the possible start of Bulimia). The only thing that I can think of that would really drive the hammer home to complete the piece would have been to add more detail considering the loneliness and/or family concern as they watch their loved one going though this. You touch upon it in the piece, but I think you could expand upon that point a little more, maybe even add another chapter.

A very well thought out piece.

Well written! It fully explains what an eating disorder is. It is all mental. A person feels that they are “ugly” “fat” and become overly paranoid about it. They eat little and feel that it is mind over body this gives them power. Their body starves and eventually forces them to gorge. When they loose control over their body they feel as though they must punish themselves for messing up when it is direly important that they do eat. They work out constantly and are never satisfied. This is a mental issue that many people have. It is due to the “standers” of today’s society. The media is telling people that they have to be skinny to be beautiful. Unfortunately, there are those who take it to the extremes of starvation and death. This is a Great example of what goes on in the mind of those who have this disorder. Well thought out and physiological backing. Good job
