Ah the pains of unrequited love. :( A sad piece, but emotional and well-written. I like how you gave it a positive-ish ending. Especially liked the lines "Those visions of your stone-gray gaze" and "Trial after error, start after stop." Good job (but sorry to hear this is based on a real life situation).
