"Shadow branches sway to reach the lace of waves." Stunning. Absolutely stunning. We all try so hard sometimes to reach out and grab our dreams-only to find that they're just beyond our grasp, and we 'sway' to reach them :).

"Tentacles of Torment." Great word-choice.

"Waiting beyond the sand." There's a sense of hope in that line that instills the reader with a sense of tragic-beauty.

Was this written about Hurricane Katrina? If so, this was a beautiful, respectful way to portray a dedication poem. If not, well, the poem was absolutely beautiful anyway! Wonderful work!
