I'm probably wrong here, but I'm assuming that you're talking about the mass destruction that befell the entire island when science grew out of control.

Very short chapter, but I realize that it was just the summary and the prelude. I like the concept, it has been a while since I've seen a story about chemical disaster. Is it going to be a biological agent, or just like radiation or toxic fumes? I think that a combination of the two would be interesting. If you would like more information on biological warfare and how it works, let me know and I can give you the rundown.

But- you're the author, and I shouldn't be butting in...hehehe

Anyway, not much else that I can say because it was just the prelude, but I can't wait to see what your characters do in this situation. I think that this will be a story with great intrigue and I can only imagine what horrors that group of teens will come back to. Oh, my. Can someone say 'oops?'
It will be interesting to see how they react, who is able to keep their head through all of this ordeal, and how they find a way to fix everything. Or if they find a way to fix this problem at all.And what happens when the "Chemicals escape"? Hm...you've set up a great plot for yourself here. I'm sure that you'll find ways to have your fans gripping their keyboards in anticipation.
