abuseNice work in trying to express how you are and how you feel. It remeinds me of someone saying that you'll never fully understand someone, including yourself. I guess just me what you are and live the way you would. There are always pros and cons. It's hard to say in the end. At least you're trying to be honest with yourself. That's what matters.

abuseOn the writing: I really like how this is written. You keep a certain distance from the reader and yourself in the way you write...a technique that is neither good or bad but just is there. It feels as though you are speaking not writing and but you are more interested in what you are saying than the reader (distance) but then you bring yourself closer to the reader because you are sharing something personal... it's a very good balance and sounds very natural.
On content: If i were you i would read A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle... i think you would like it (even if it is on oprahs book club list...just disregard that)...especially based on what i read in your second to last paragraph.
