Hm, whilst I liked the description bits - a bit more into it would be better, like a bit more background stuff. This also feels like a start of a story or a short story more than an essay just to note. It's a bit vague and I thought you could expand on the point a bit more.

I like this. Your description of the fire is really great and I love the questions you ask. I also like how there is no answer, it definitely leaves the reader wondering. I do kind of wish though there was a bit more background information to understand why the person was in this situation.
