This is amazing!! The only thing I would change would be to un-parenthese "thunder" you don't need to, it works just as good the way it is.

I am currently reading this during a thunderstorm and it seems so appropriate. I find the "nothingnothingnothing" a bit curious and wonder why you ran those words together. I do enjoy the Cummings-esque feel of it though.
