This is really good ... and also sad. I like both the plot and the execution, the way the story is set up and the writing style, and most of all I love the tragic ending ...

Oh my goodness... such a short piece, but it has captured the emotions of the man so vividly. I love how the title ties in with the story, in the end the tragedy was in the ammunition. Or lack thereof. *sigh* Accidents like these happen... he had to make it look real though. Poor man, he doesn't deserve prison, much less oblivion. It's an amazing piece, keep up the good work!

Even though this story was on the short side, you managed to convey a lot of tension in your writing. I wonder what drove the poor 'robber' to do something so desperate. A very haunting piece.

Such a tragic ending, and yet so puzzling. I can't possibly imagine what could make a man decide he wants to live the rest of his life in prison.

But you were very descriptive, which kept it interesting. Very interesting indeed!
